Cibolo Creek Brewing Company (Boerne)

Boerne is quickly climbing the ranks in the craft brewery scene, and Cibolo Creek Brewing Company has become a community favorite in a big-time lineup found along the Hill Country Mile, the city’s thriving downtown district. Known for approachable, true-to-style beers, family-owned Cibolo Creek offers a homey atmosphere where friends and families are welcomed for a good drink, a great meal and good old-fashioned conversation.

Beers, brewed on-site, feature several year-round selections including fan-favorites Boerne Blonde and Creekside IPA. In warmer seasons, the menu leans toward light and refreshing, while cooler months bring darker and stronger selections. There is always a small batch surprise available, like Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Stout, Apricot Crumble Gose and Strawberry Milkshake IPA.

But beer is just the beginning. Nestled in a historic home, you know right away it’s a comfortable and laid-back venue, with umbrella-covered tables in the front yard and a large, welcoming porch swing just outside the front door. A large backyard with lots of covered picnic tables for the whole gang is found out back.

The kitchen is another stand-out, boasting an ever-changing farm-to-table menu, highlighted by seasonal and daily specials created by the in-house chef, while favorite staples like the “Best” wagyu burger and Bier Buns (a goat, cabbage and cheese stuffed potato roll) are always reliable. The approachable staff, often-times family members, are always ready to help with a beer pairing or recommendation to make your visit a great one.

The brewery welcomes families, providing a kids’ menu, non-alcoholic beverage choices and a few games to entertain in the open area out back. A recently added outdoor stage area allows for great live music, which is scheduled throughout the year, while inside reflects Boerne’s historic roots with some hip twists that are truly unique to the space.
