Giant Texas Distillers
Houston
Giant Texas Distillers is the largest distillery in Texas and the largest bourbon distillery west of the Mississippi. Located in the historic Uncle Ben’s rice factory designed to supply rice to WWII soldiers, the Tasting Room is an industrial paradise that sits above the distillery. Giant Texas is owned by a three-generation family that started with coffee during the 1920s in Spain, moved to Mexico, and then completed the American Dream in Houston. They pride themselves on producing 100 percent Texas-made Bourbon, Rye Whiskey, and Brandy using only Texas ingredients, plus distilling, aging, and bottling in their Houston distillery. They also believe in giving back to the community, supporting organizations like The Longhorn Project, where they send their spent mash for feeding their longhorns. Hence, their whiskey grains come full circle. Take a tour of their historic facility and get a behind-the-scenes look into the process of Texas’ largest distillery. They invite you to sample their award-winning Texas spirits, sip on original-recipe cocktails, enjoy the view of Downtown Houston on their patio, or enjoy a chef-inspired food menu in their Giant Texas Tasting Room.
