Seeking an experiential and exciting crash course in Old West history? As the former headquarters for some of the most famous frontier units, including all four regiments of the Buffalo Soldiers and the 10th Cavalry, Fort Concho played a key role in the settlement of West Texas and remains one of the state’s most important historical sites.
