Texas Hill Country Wineries
While much of the nation spends October prepping for winter weather, Texas enjoys an extended Indian summer. It’s also Wine Month, which coincides with Crush, or the annual grape harvest. From Oct. 1-31, over 40 participating Hill Country wineries offer complimentary tastings, events, and discounts on bottles with the Texas Wine Month Digital Passport. Slow is the way to go out here—all the better to explore the rolling countryside, backroads, and word-of-mouth cellars. Many wineries also hold special events to celebrate the start of the new winemaking season.
