Visit Austin Small Business Season

2020 was tough on everyone, but independent retailers and restaurateurs, in particular, floundered. Visit Austin created its Small Business Season campaign to empower residents and visitors alike to help support and preserve the local retail and culinary community. By inspiring consumers to shop local throughout December, Visit Austin boosted visibility and sales and even sold items from local makers through the Visitor Center’s own online store. A digital guide and collaborations with media partners like Pinterest, iHeart Media and Austin Monthly also highlighted more than 300 Austin businesses.
